Well, here at Kounter-Fit we would like to congratualate The Pirate Bay for still being up and running 4 years after the raid on their office by Swedish police. To show our appreciation we have reprinted this t-shirt design so it is for sale again in all colors in our online store!

Today, exactly four years have passed since The Pirate Bay was raided by the Swedish police. While the entertainment industries hoped that this would be the end of their troubles, in hindsight they’ve created a a multi-headed hydra that is impossible to kill. The events that unfolded could easily be turned into a Hollywood blockbuster.

In good old Kounter-Fit fashion we play around with logos and also this time we did not do it just randomly. We actually use it as a way to express our philosophy. At Kounter-Fit we go a lot further than just giving 1% of our turnover to a good cause, we will dedicate 100% of our profits to serve and protect nature's interests by our land reclamation projects. How much profit have we made so far you ask? Well, not enough to buy our 100 acres just yet so keep buying our t-shirts ;)

In an article published in the February 2009 edition of the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Research Letters, the Pacific Institute analyses the energy requirements for various stages in bottled water production, including the energy to manufacture the plastic bottles, process the water and the bottles, and transport and cool the final product.
The article, “Energy implications of bottled water” by researchers Peter H. Gleick and Heather Cooley, is the first peer-reviewed analysis of its kind. Gleick and Cooley find bottled water is up to 2000 times more energy-intensive than tap water. Similarly, bottled water that requires long-distance transport is far more energy-intensive than bottled water produced and distributed locally.
